  • 1 kg ripe tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 5 cloves garlic, peeled and trimmed

  • 1 tsp dried Italian herbs
  • salt & pepper

To Serve

  • pasta, cooked according to packet directions
  • fresh basil leaves
